    • Vineyards: This part of the state is home to several wineries, including the Mount Felix Vineyard & Winery, the Fiore Winery, the Harford Winery and Legends Vineyard.
    • Eden Mill: Pylesville’s historic Eden Mill is newly renovated and open to the public one Saturday a month in spring and summer.
    • Ice Skating: Enjoy ice skating no matter what time of year at Abingdon’s Ice World.
    • Tudor Hall: See the house where John Wilkes Booth once lived when you visit Tudor Hall, open on some dates through spring, summer and fall.
    • Minor League Baseball: Catch America’s pastime in action when you see an Aberdeen Ironbirds game during the summer.
    • The Promenade: Havre de Grace’s Promenade is a half-mile boardwalk that provides views of the Susquehanna River and bird-watching opportunities. You can even visit the top of the Concord Point Lighthouse for no charge on weekends April through October.
    • Outdoor Screenings: Bel Air’s Shamrock Park regularly shows free outdoor movies that are geared toward kids and families. Check the schedule and take in one of these summertime screenings.
    • The Liriodendron: Visit this mansion and its art collection for free on Sunday afternoons from March through December. Perhaps the best part about visiting The Liriodendron is that it features local artists.
    • Rocks State Park: For summertime fun, visit Rocks State Park and take a plunge in Deer Creek. Admission is just $3 for Maryland residents on the weekends.
    • Hays House Museum: Experience what life was like in this part of the world in the 1700s when you visit the Hays House Museum. It is open on the second and fourth Sundays of each month from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and admission is just $3 for adults.
    • Block Parties: Havre de Grace and Bel Air shut down entire parts of their downtowns for street festivals on the first Friday nights of each month from May to October. Visit and enjoy vendors, live music, food and drink. There’s no admission charge.
    • Ladew Topiary Gardens: The Ladew Topiary Gardens are open seven days a week from April to October. Visitors can marvel at this organic artwork.
    • Jerusalem Mill Village: See historic reenactments each Sunday at the Jerusalem Mill Village. Admission is free.
