Central Pennsylvania Holiday Lights 2018

    Enjoying local light shows and holiday-themed events is one of the most pleasant, spirited and enchanting traditions throughout central Pennsylvania during the holiday season. Grab some cocoa and celebrate the 2018 holiday season at one of these three bright, cheery Christmas light displays and holiday attractions found in south central Pennsylvania.

    1. Dutch Winter Wonderland

    From November through December, Dutch Wonderland transforms its family-friendly theme-park into a winter wonderland you can’t miss, complete with twirling rides and holiday-themed entertainment. For the cost of admission, you and your family can experience thousands of lively, unforgettable Christmas lights, continuously twinkling attractions and the spectacular Royal Light Show, a dazzling display of choreographed lights performing every 15 minutes. For those who have been both naughty and nice, visit Santa at his workshop in the North Pole to see the Christmas spirit magically spring to life.

    Experience Lancaster’s favorite holiday attractions every Saturday and Sunday, and select weekdays, from November 17 until December 30 from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m.

    2. Christmas Magic — A Festival of Lights

     

    Stay warm, enjoy some hot cocoa and take in the unique, sparkling holiday light displays in Rocky Ridge Park during York’s Festival of Lights taking place between Black Friday and New Year’s Eve. Throughout the half-mile setup through winding wooded areas and quiet mountain paths, accessible to every nearby local, you can enjoy over 600,000 holiday lights arranged in an array of light-hearted and festive displays. Each year you can expect to find time-honored favorites, as well as fresh new displays for your enjoyment.

    At least 35,000 local central Pennsylvania residents enjoy York’s Christmas light displays each year. Timed ticket purchases will be available beginning in November to ensure comfortable and leisurely paces for all throughout the trail — walk-ins are not permitted on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, although they are allowed during weekdays.

    3. Hershey Sweet Lights

    For the most stunning, festive Christmas lights and holiday attractions in central Pennsylvania, visit the unforgettable holiday lights at Hershey Park. In the park and throughout Hershey Sweet Lights — their intricately designed, lit wooded trails — you can expect to experience over four million lights arranged in nearly 600 festive displays with several choreographed into unforgettable shows. While enjoying the expansive and brilliant Christmas light displays, don’t forget to stop by and visit Santa and his reindeer at the reindeer stables.

    Holiday festivities begin Friday, November 16, and last until New Year’s Day. Visit the park during the week and weekends from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. Cost of admission during the week is $19.15, with prices jumping Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to $26.15.
